Limerick: A Young Maid in a Shoe

There was a young maid in a shoe
Who didn’t know just what to do.
She went several places
They undid her laces.
And children soon lived in it too!

  1. Once, a blogger on PoetryTech
Logged a verse in a tight limerick:
And the poem, quite a beaut,
    Mother Goose, a reboot
Like J. Abrams’ twist on Star Trek.

  2. Ah, what a nice bit of fairy tale
Those stories that never grow stale
I like the little riding hood
(But only a red one is good)
Unless you’re in a gingerbread house with ale

  3. Oh my gosh you’re just all too too much.
It seems limericks come in a bunch.
    But the usual catch
    Is they’re all about sex,
And at my age I’m more about lunch.
